Volunteering & Community

Supporting youth development and community engagement

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America

Preparing to begin my journey as a volunteer mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters, an organization that empowers youth through one-on-one guidance and long-term relationships. This opportunity deeply aligns with my values of community, growth, and mentorship—particularly in supporting kids who come from single-parent households, foster care, or challenging environments.

Through this program, I hope to:

  • Listen, encourage, and help build confidence and trust in a young person's life
  • Support personal development and goal-setting in a positive, consistent way
  • Extend the mentorship foundation built through volunteer work with Boys & Girls Club and local elementary schools

I'm genuinely excited to begin this new chapter and give back to a cause that means a great deal to me.

Boys and Girls Club Washington County Chapter

Volunteer · May 2013 - Jul 2013 · 3 mos · Children

Supported staff and children during summer programming by helping organize activity areas, portion and distribute snacks, and assist with outdoor games and supervision. Volunteered for a short-term engagement focused on creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for local youth.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Washington County provide a safe and supportive environment for kids to learn, grow, and connect with others in the community. I volunteered at the Hartford Lincoln location, helping staff prepare activities, organize snacks, and assist with outdoor games and group events.

Elementary School Mentor

Various Wisconsin Schools · 2010 - 2015

Served as a reading mentor for elementary students, providing one-on-one support and encouragement to help build reading confidence and skills.

Community Technology Support

Informal Volunteer Work

Regularly assist friends, family, and community members with technology troubleshooting, digital literacy, and cybersecurity awareness.

Community Values

Volunteering reflects my commitment to human-centered leadership and community engagement, aligning with my focus on supporting personal growth, building confidence, and creating opportunities for others to succeed.

These experiences have shaped my understanding that technology leadership isn't just about systems and processes—it's about empowering people to reach their full potential.
